I don't post much here so you wouldn't realy know it but basically I'm pretty limited in skill with post processing. I like to get it done right from the camera... because I can't do it any other way
![]() However, I just had a look over some of my photos from Beijing earlier this year (still haven't processed them) and I'm gladly surprised to see they have really good potential! I played around a bit here with the individual colours, i didn't do much but I tink it's added some real punch to the photo. I de-saturated all colours apart from red (figured out selective colouring ) which I boosted a little then added a fair whack of contrast. Only small stuff but I feel it's been tranformed from the original, a de-saturation would look good too. Again, I know it's only small stuff but to me it's like a revelation! HahaEnough rambling, I'll take the time to play around a little more in PS now, hopefully I can get a bit more out of my photos. The hazy, staid Hutongs of Beijing have proven to be a post-processing wake-up for me... seven months on. Any thoughts?

Installed GIMP but afraid of using those many controls, huh. Hope I will also try to do some PP in future!
