thanks for your replys. PP was just the basic levels, curves and hue&sat, and some dodge and burn to start with then i added an action called the orton effect, adjusted the opacity sliders till i liked it.
i used the bottom of the clouds as my horizon as these hills were really uneven. infact it was the rolling hills and thoses bails that cought my eye while driving by. hit the brakes hard and pulled into the side of the road just so i could take a few pics.

Great looking shot! I love the muted colors and simplicity of the subject. You did great to spot such an excellent shot while driving.
I, too, had to look twice at the horizon line... I find I like the shot best when the darkest part of the sky is cropped out - but that's just what my eyes like to see. Excellent capture though! I really love the only the very foreground is in focus while the rest is really soft. Looks great! |

i love orton effect....and you did such a great job with it.....
so, here's the but....it's the horizon and the bales....if you brought up the right side ever so slightly, i believe it would lessen the slope and straighten the verticals of your bales..... again....this is great....good job!... peeper |
