Here's one I took at sunset last night. I'd been trying to capture a silhouette shot for an on-line workshop I'm doing. What do you think?

Welcome scarymary555!!!
Its nice idea to capture strong shape against the sun to produce silhouette. Sorry to say, but I cant able to imagine what was your subject. Is that rock? There is too much dark in the frame starting from middle. Try shooting at late sunset with dominating sky as background (2/3rd - sky and 1/3rd shape).

The concept is good but you also have to be able to tell what the silhouette is that you are presenting. The picture could stand to be a bit bigger so that we cans ee what you are doing alittle better as well.

nice try .. you got the right idea..
but kept this in mind.. -main subject should be really interesting -the subject should be instantly reconizeable..
