Default Sunrise

This morning, we got up and went to the Balloon Festival in a neighboring town. The balloons were lifting off around 6am, and I got a shot of the sunrise.

I cropped and rotated the shot, but not much else.

I think that there is too much treeline in the foreground. I would try cropping up so that no so much of your image was black. Perhaps try cropping off the bottom portion right up to where the trees in the middle meet the sky. This will give the trees on the left and right some seperation making them look like 2 trees. Also maybe it is just me but I would saturate the picture a little more. The colors are pretty subdued in this photo.

I agree with Rex K also move the sunout of the center. I hate sunrised with the sun in the center of the photo, maybe just me.

You know I was thinking the same thing about the sun being in the center of the frame but then he would lose some of those cloud formations... Also there is a bit of symmetry at work here with the two trees framing the sun. but I agree with sunsetter that the offset sun would look nice.

Ok, I re-cropped the photo moving the sun from the center of the shot, and adjusted the levels again.
