Umm.... for me there is not a good clear interest point in this photo.. If you want to put more focus on the reflection in the water I would try cropping off some of the woods in the top of the photo. Perhaps the top third. If however you wanted to put more interest in the way the light is filtering thru the leaves then I would crop out the bottom part of the photo right up to where the water becomes darker.

I love reflections! This one is interesting, as the vine touches the water and creates the illusion of a full circle. Very nice. As far as improving, I'm no expert so I'll offer what I'd like to see if it were my photo. I would probably make it just a little darker, as it seems just a bit bright and boost the contrast as well. I would also crop a bit off the left side and maybe a just smidge off the top. I think the crops would help to make the reflection more of a main focus point and upping the contrast would help that as well.
Nice shot! Keep up the good work!

thanks for the quick reply. I love your work so your input it is appreciated! MY son wanted me to take it because he liked the circle effect. Is this any better?

I like the second one much better. Better contrast and point of interest shows better. Good work.

yes the second one is much better. I would go even a bit further with the crop taking out the bright spots in the top of the frame.

Definitely the second version. You MUST keep the "stem". It adds action to a static shot. I would like to see just a tad bit more contrast.
