Default Vineyards - Landscape

I think vast landscapes are the hardest thing to capture. They drive me nuts. Macro, portrait, object all seem easy compared to a sweeping vista that doesn't necessarily have a strong focal point.
Here's one I did recent that I think is not too bad. Thoughts? Suggestions on what others do to capture the wide open shot?

Here's another look at the same vineyard.

I believe the strongest point for such snaps is the movement it generates. In this snap, we have landscaped forground which continues in the distant where we can see it disapearing in the top right of frame. Even without a strong focal point, such pics give a sense of symetry.

On the negative side, the harsh sun has burnt the foreground trees - maybe some trial on different time of the day.

I suggest you go to the landscape section of this forum, there are some outstanding shots by Fusion08.

I think that is a decent image. Possible improvements would be getting the vines at the bottom into sharper focus (a clearer subject offset against the ridges of the background landscape) and perhaps moved the frame down a little (a touch more foreground and less of the distant background, which has much cooler tones than most of the shot).

I'm not a professional by any means, but the color seems off to me. I remember vineyards as being considerably cooler, crisper greens.

But then, I'm also remembering the family vineyard that I haven't seen in almost 10 years I will say your photo made me a bit nostalgic. I grew up in the middle of 150 acres of family-owned vineyard, and one of the crispest memories I have is, as a child, laying on my back porch one summer (June or July), and looking over the tops of the vines, which created this crisp, clean, green carpet from my back yard that seemed to stretch out for miles.
