Default Link

I found this at my back-yard when I had been to hometown recently. Its mid-day lightning and spot light on my subject.

First time I did experiment on metering mode and for this I used “spot” and took reading from the link. Any suggestion on using metering mode would be really helpful.

Very dramatic lighting, although the lines in the top right distract from it. Perhaps some photoshopping to clean it up?

Also, the shapes of the link are getting a bit lost on the black background. A differnet background that has been thrown out of focus with a shallow depth of field would work better.

Tiberius, Thank you for your inputs.

I suspect that lines at the top are grass. Seems my monitor is with little less bright so I cant see them!

Palachandra,

Now I need your eyes: does this represent what you saw in your backyard? It's nearly as dark as original, with the hints of grass separating the back part of link from background.

Yes JC.... Amazing edit there. Now I could see that back part of link which was lost in background before.

Thanks for the demo. "A picture is worth....."
