Nice and clear to me, maybe could be cropped a little at the top. But man that is BUG PORN at it's finest! Good lord, were you playing Barry White in the background? Was the lighting for your shot done by candlelight?

So maybe I should crop out the top bud. I notice when I scroll the photo up it does look better without that bud there. You should have seen the Beetles, they were everywhere and all over each other. I would say maybe hundreds.

Moe,
Top and right side could go, to keep your aspect ratio. Lots of competing colors, nice overall look.

"Lots of competing colors"
So should it stay as a color or BW? I agree I like it cropped at top and off the right side a bit. But what about the white bud?

Moe,
The competition winner is up to you. I like that background at the top (blue/lavender/greens), so you could drop the white bud in a crop. And I believe the complexities of subjects and textures in the lower 3/4 is another good section, keeping the white bud. Both crops could lose some right-side. There is a way to turn the white green, if you just don't like it. P.S.: Bug Test

Moe,
Not at all. That P.S. was a "testing of the water" thread to see what kind of group-thought was here. I couldn't decide where to draw the line, so I asked. You can see from the responses it's not a real uptight bunch. I thought you might enjoy the experience and also see that the beetles are pretty much everywhere.

moe,
Finally got to your beetlemania, to illustrate the difference when a background is less focussed and bright. Those colors top and bottom, are so pleasant I didn't want to remove them. Your options are a little improved if you wanted to do more with your shot:
