I loved this shot in the assignment, but i feel the problem is the slightly out of focus red labbit, Maybe focusing more on one of the black dots would have given you a better focal point, but i do like the way the ciggarette is blurred, and the two labbits are blurred into the background,
If you were focusing while the whole scene was framed, you should try framing the scene, then moving the camera and focusing on the labbit, and then moving back whilst keeping the shutter button half pressed, if that makes any sense, Keep up the good work, i look forward to seeing some more experimental shots. ike, |

Thanks Ike. I did kind of do what you say but I seem to have got the ears in focus. I was crawling around on the floor at the time, if that's any excuse!
you're right though, may be if the eyes were sharp it would have been better. thanks for your help. |

Yup, I do like this shot a lot, and I'll echo what's been said before. If the face were sharper (rather than the ears) then I think it would've been even better.
If you have the option to change the focus area I'd try that. Good luck on the next assignment!PS, there is absolutely nothing wrong with crawling around on the floor (or hanging upside down, or leaning over a rail, or well, you get the idea) to get a shot...
