great concept.

Probably the thing that I find most distracting about this is the out of focus one on the right. I think it might have been a stronger image without it and with just the open one that you've got on the left.

Still - it's a unique perspective and has a definite center of interest.

I agree here - the oof bloom is a tad distracting and throws a strange color cast on the bottom right of the image.

The stems toward the top are pretty much gone as well - two in particular near the oof bloom.

Otherwise - great shot.

cathyetta,

Recently, while getting Macros of ants, which spend a lot of time in these blooms, I started seeing these blooms as having nearly the same distinctiveness of snowflakes and fingerprints. Wonder if you found this also to be true?

Good choice of shooting into sky, gives a better lace-look. Macros reveal even more of the mini-bloom construction. Not a simple weed, really.

I'm new as well, so take my opinion for what it is, but the out of focus bloom ruins it for me. My eye isn't drawn anywhere.
