This is a fraud, a figment made with your picture. it's just a game, not a photo. I played with channel curves to give it a more "sunset-ish" look. My apologies if you find this edit a bastardization of your photo.

nycgraphix,

Lots of interest in composition and tonal range; shot from tall building? Or plane?

Nai no Kami,

Is "This..." referring to your edit?

"This" refers to the picture I posted: something that wasn't.

That's an impressive sunset that never was! Great work.

The perspective make me think that I'm looking down on the clouds at the bottom of the photo. Was this taken from the ground? I know cloud photography can play havoc with perceived perspectives.

I took the photograph from the roof terrace at my apartment building. It is aout the 17th floor right in the middle of Chelsea (Manhattan, New York). I will post some of my other photographs of clouds all of which were photographed on my terrace.

I like this picture but think it would be better served to have a bit of the bottom cropped off. I was scrolling through it thinking the shot was quite lovely until I hit the dark clouds on the bottom. I bet you get some beautiful shots from your terrace!
