Critiques?
Trying to post this pic from flickr instead of from my computer. Hopefully it will work this time.
Input is always accepted. Thanks.

ladyjolene, Welcome

Imagine this same shot if shirt were white and shorts red. This color combination has kept the impact low, and centering lessens it compositionally. It looks like historical log construction in the building, so even that pulls a little attention away. A good photo, it just suffers from circumstances beyond your control.

Might even try doing it in black and white or as Jiminy suggested you mightt ry changing the color of the shorts

Default Thanks

I have this same image in black & white. The shorts were too dark and caused an even lesser impact. Maybe the contrast was off? I will fiddle with it to see what else I can come up with.
Anything else???

ladyjolene,

If you try the first option for transfering photos from Flickr, your images will be easier to critique. And we see your photo without memories attached, so the impact is naturally less. If you like it, remember that the critique is just aesthetics from our experiences.
