Default Cool Shot

I think white is a great color for selective coloring. Gives a great effect without slapping you in the face like some done with bright reds or blues (although that can be eye-catching as well). It also can bring a subject out of a busy background which you may not have been able to blur with depth of field (like this one). Nice.

Did you you do this with an in-camera trick or use photoshop?

I think it was a good choice for this. Sometimes selective coloring can distract from the picture. This is more subtle and is secondary to the subject.

All I used was Picasa , while it is a very simple editing tool it comes in handy if things only need to be touched up a bit ,and i have used it enough to have learned how to make it do things that I thought could only be done in PS , but not everything ,it sure has it's limits LOL.
