Default Leaf Pattern

I used below setting to shot this wonderful leaf pattern.

Exposure: 0.008 sec (1/125)
Aperture: f/3.5
Focal Length: 19.8 mm
ISO Speed: 80
Exposure Bias: 0/10 EV

Leaf pattern

I Would like to have critique on composition perspective.

Good job! The only suggestion I have would have been to find a non-green background so that the leaf stood out more. But I like how the leaf is angled across the frame and you did a great job keeping everything in sharp focus!

I personally like the green background. I feel that the blurred background makes the sharp green pattern really pop out of the image.

I would have to agree though that I like the angled perspective.

Good work.

Get rid of the hand. It appears the stem is long enough to hold it farther down and have it enter the frame in the lower left. Very nice pattern!

Palachandra,

Very sharp, good idea to isolate subject. As an example of how much contrast plays an important part in images, the skintone does draw the eye away. A tiny leaf in the palm of the hand would help the tiny leaf; here the hand is in competition. There is crop/clone room, if the hand bothers you. Good shot.

I think the hand works here, it (to me) seems to make the shot seem more informal - like "hey check out this cool looking leaf i found". The sharpness is a good contrast to the blurred background and as said above it helps the leaf pop out from the green background. I don't see the hand as a distraction, more 'added interest'.

good shot

Very good, but I think maybe is you use another background like a blue sky it will be better.
