Default Deer From The Car Window

I caught this deer running up the bank after a narrow escape from my bumper the other day on my return from work. What do you all think?

I'd say you're as quick as that deer is!

I'd like to see more contrast between the background and the deer's face. Maybe lighten the shadows a little to enable the facial features to "pop."

You must have a really quick hand to have gotten your camera out and take this shot while the deer is running away!
How can anyone really critque a photo tho under these circumstances? I think for the moment and what you were dealing with you did a great job.

I think he did a good job catching the subject too but the viewer is not going to know the circumstances surrounding the shot and he did ask for a crit....

I doubt I'd even get my camera out before it disappeared into the woods. It's unfortunate that the face was obscured by shadow, but under the circumstances, what else can you do?
