Default Frozen in time

I think maybe i should try to expand my horizons in photography, but trains jsut peak my interest. lol. anyway. went back to Cumberland, MD yesterdday after gettign skunked by rain last weekend. saw a good angle for a shot that another photgrapher did and i wanted to try it myself. all the ingredients were there. blue sky, lush green grass, still water and smoke and steam. this was the final product.

Enjoy.

Time to reflect
Enjoy.

Tom

This is a great shot very detailed and focus. If I was to tell you anything that could make this shot better it would be to crop out the freeway.

Tom, great shot. I especially like the reflection but would have to agree with cropping out the freeway. Glad to see you made it back down to Cumberland once again my weekend was busy, maybe next time.

Beautiful reflection and train. I guess cropping the main-road would get rid of it but I think editing it out would be better. You need (I feel) that bit of space for the train to be "Moving in" to for me.

(Though I note the current Blog theme of breaking the rules for creative/surprising results)

I cropped the bridge out of the photo, and actually came up with an even better shot and i was able to leave the lamp post in the background too.

Time to reflect

Now the only way to perfect this was to have caught it just afeet back so the trains reflection would have totally been caught in the water. Everything else is right on the money

Thumbs up

Hi napatom2005
I’m not into trains much but I do like the cropped version. Losing the bridge on the right has made the photo.

Cropping out the freeway has made the shot, as has been said. But when I looked at the edited pic, I thought "lose the lamp post too" - then I read your comment... LOL

Ah well... personally, I'd clone out the lamp post, but heck, it's your picture
