I'm not sure what you want to accomplish but I love the photo. If I was going to tell you something to make it better (to me) I would have used a completely white background the black is only distracting thing.

Thanks Evelyn - I was just experimenting with backlit glass...

The black is the platform the glass was standing on.

The slope was just a little quirky thing...

You'll come to find that I like little quirky things

Very up-market food mag type photo. Clean & sharp. The black surface is distracting as it doesn't add much except contrast with the rest of the image. It might have worked better with a reflective black surface.

Love the clean shot! I think the black actually is a nice addition. Might have even made it fill half the frame corner to corner for a bit more contrast. With red liquid I think my wife would hang that in our kitchen!

I like the black in this shot gives it weight and adds contrast that is reflected in the glass , a very sharp shot I like it as is .
