The First Iron GateKeeper

I pass these Iron 'Gatekeepers' on my way to and back from work, and every time I think the same thing, "That would be a nice picture."
So I finally decided to take this photo out of my mind's eye, and put it on screen.

The horse's head looks rather worn and indistinct. It would be worth observing how the light changes during the day and seeing if a different time gives better definition. Also, try different angles (a darker background would probably work better for this relatively light subject).

I completely agree with Wulf, darker background. That is why I like the second shot best. I do like the third too though, for composition sake. The second one has a darker background and it makes the horse pop out at you in the shot.
