Rose

i took this while i was experimenting with lighting (or lack of!) and trying to do a shot for the red assignment. i like it but theres something about it i cant uite put my finger on. please tell me what you think and how i could improve it.

I think the problem is the angle, its an awkward one, you have the translucent material blocking alot of the flower,

There are also a few blown out areas at the bottom bit behind the base of the rose itself, which is kinda distracting,

If your were to try it again, i think it would be a good idea to be face on, but slightly up from the centre of the rose, its hard to describe,

Overall, its a good shot, but could do with some improvement,

thnks, i wanted to get the colours of the outside of the petals, the way it changed from pink to red. i had a cheap little led type light that i was using to light it, there were no other lights on in the room.

when i try again, which wont be with this rose as i pulled the petals off for another pic lol ill try the different angles but ill also try to not have such a harsh light.
