Red face Rebeltastic Daisy

Finally decided to take the plunge and open my new Rebel XT's box today. Here's one of the results, slightly touched up, let me know what you think My first venture in the world of dSLRs!

Bright yellow and a black and white background. A tighter crop might even bring the flower out even more.

Congrats on the new camera! I agree with the tighter crop. Cutting some of it out without centering the flower may be more effective.

Nice photo falafelicious!
I agree too with the tighter crop but I also like it the way it is. The contrast the yellow do on the black and white background is amazing. I'm not a big fan of removing colors in the photos but this one looks amazing! The composition is great and DOF is great too. Thanks for sharing it. Congrats on your new DSLR!

I like the shot but do agree that a closer crop without putting the flower in the center might make a little better photo. Good job though.
