clock

This is my first photo, taken by a Kodak EasyShare CX7300 3.2 MP digital camera. I didn't make any photoshopping on it.

Welcome Selcuk, It would help to know what you were trying to accomplish? Do you just want me to tell you what I think about the photo or how you could improve it? I will take a shot in the dark and say I like the shot but I find the background too distracting and it is a bit out of focus.

The background is distracting, the lighting is off, and the clock is in a weird position/angle.

selcuk, Welcome

Here's a great opportunity for you to compare: if you can, place clock somewhere outdoors, against a simple background. Have Sun coming from the left just a little behind you. Face clock at whatever level it's on (stoop, squat, kneel if necessary), and turn clock until there is the least glare on dial. Frame vertically (portrait), and try for a little shadow, too. See if you like that shot.

it is yr first effort, so there is everything pardonable. rule of thirds have some specific rules - to show leading lines, relation with subject with something less imp.and placement of it, uncluttered b'ground etc. rule of third make it easy to make the best of composition. try again and let us see new exposing.
