Hi there,
Nice shot. What I really like about this is that it seems as if the lower left hand light continues at the top of the frame. The bottom cut is at the same spot as the top cut, so the image seems continuous. I'm a little torn about that middle light being right dab in the center though. This shot could maybe benefit from a composition with the "rule of thirds" in mind. If you aren't familiar with that, Here is the DPS rundown on the topic (second link on google!). One other idea might be to kick the exposure up just a touch. With such colorful glass, I wonder if this could stand to brighten up just a touch. You certainly want to keep the colors, though. One time I had a similar idea with my mom's Hummingbird feeders. For that, I used a wide angle lens up very close, with the trees in the background bokehed similarly. The effect of the close up wide angle with that full background really stuck with me, and the glass feeders (similar to these lights) fit very well with the sparkly background. Maybe give it a try? Good work, Andy |

i don't particularly like the composition although it's well-exposed. There is vague empty space to the right that doesn't serve any purpose and both lights are cut off a awkward points. Perhaps a vertical photo at dusk with the lights on would be more interesting.
