The bright lights of the building are too distracting and don't provide enough light for the little angel.

It's a great shot, but melanie is right. The angel is to dark.

I personally like the darkness of the angel (that sounds sort of dismal lol). Truly though I think it adds a story to the photo, sort of an sculpted angel looking into the future, or overlooking those in the building...something like that.

Anyways, i like

I like the concept, I do agree a little more light might help. I would also perhaps try showing off more of the building and having a smaller area dedicated to the angel/figure.

Still I like the idea of merging stone/art with the strength/power that you get from the skyscraper/tall building.

FUDGUMM, Welcome

This is better than a lot of night shots we see posted. Especially unusual angle; the light/dark can be easily changed in a post processing session. If you do edit, I believe a square crop would get rid of the empty right side, and put angel less centered. If you don't edit, would you mind if we showed some ideas with our edits?

FUDGUMM,

Here are two looks into an imagined different take on the photo. At first the idea of city lights needing to be dimmer and dark angel becoming well lit seemed counter-intuitive, or even illegal. It can be done, but it's open to opinion whether it works or not:

It looks like the angel is thoughtfully looking over the city - I like that. Nice shot!

Really good work JC. I like the second crop with inverted highlight, orientation.
