Hi,
It’s dead rainy in this part of the globe……………it’s really wet……..as we are not able to go outside and shoot we continue to shoot in our garden. Have a look at it.

Hi Amol,

These kind of flowers with rain drops are best viewed when most of visible part is in sharp focus. Here, due to low DPF, there is a blurred blotch in the left, you can easily crop that out. The style in the middle is also out of focus, this is creating a distinct distraction. I do not know the ISO you have used, but, I guess you can either increase the ISO and then make the aperture smaller to f/8 or more. But the best option will be to move at another angle, from where only the part of the petal with the rain drops are visible.

I'd like to see more of it in focus, the small DOF is a bit distracting. I really like the way the in-focus petal came out, I only wish I could see what all of it looks like.

try cropping out some of the left side which is out of focus.. it will look better then...
man me missing the rains back home...

Second crop looks better, I agree with all about DOF. Seems you are very much influenced by rain and I am really enjoying your posts.

Thanks mate, In mumbai ( bombay ), it's raining like hell, no way I can go out with camera, so every morning I go out in our garden and shoot.
