Default Golden Afternoon

This is a photo I shot a while back, and I like it, but it seems like it needs some photoshoping on the background. But others say it doesn't. Im going to post it here for your ideas and advice. Feel free to edit the photo and repost as Im still not entirely proficient in Photoshop and would love to see what you could do with it. Just give me steps if you do so I can practice and learn! Thanks guys!

Thinking_Mommy,

My favorite shadowed look, drama in the bloom face. The black (fencing, border?) is understood and it could stay as context. The lower left corner has a color anomaly that could be cloned and be no longer a distraction. Rich color complement.

This would be my take on it:
orange-shade-flower modified

I like the framing by the fence in the background, but I think there's a bit too much background overall, so I cropped it down some, making the flower more prominent. Then I adjusted the histogram some to give a bit more overall contrast and then desaturated the background a bit to make the flower pop some more.

Hope that helps.
