SmokedIronMade,

The pink/red edges save this from being just a green leafy thing. Extra stuff on left does distract from strong right side. All the leaves are already cropped; you could go to a square frame of right 2/3 to remove brown leaf and stray weed. This looks like a succulent, may be primitive survivor.

It seems a bit out of focus to me.

Well, I don't catch it, in which area do you see it out of focus? btw, I don't have a professional equipment, so it cannot be compared with a superultraduper megazoom, i only have a Canon S5 IS.

Anyway, thanks for the comments.

Im not sure of it being out of focus, but I do agree that the brown leaf is a little distracting. Maybe crop it, im not a post processing guy so i have no idea how you could change it.

I do agree though, it looks primitive

It really is a little out of focus. The far side of the plant is in focus while the side closest to the viewer isn't. For this particlar angle you might want to focus it inbetween. The brown leaf definately is a bit distracting. However, I'd suggest shooting a different subject entirely if you get the chance. Something more appealing. Or maybe the same kind of plant but with less damage on it.

More interesting subjects can change the way people look at a photo.
