If you use any of the photo hosting sites, there usually is a way to see the EXIF info. You'll just have to copy & paste it into your post.

In case you're new to the forums or new to Flickr and you want to see how to post pictures using Flickr, here's a visual tutorial to try to clear up the steps.

1. Upload the photo that you want to use to Flickr and go to your Flickr page.

2. Click on the photo that you want to post in the forums and click on the "All Sizes" button.

3. Select either the small or medium size picture, then look for the text box that's under your picture. You see the text in box 1? Copy that text.

4. Come back to the forum and start a new thread or go to the thread that you want to post in. Paste the text from your Flickr page into your post and then submit your post or preview it and then submit it (combined into 1 step here since I can only do 4 pictures per post).

Ok the tutorial is great but what is flickr and how do I use it

Go to:

Welcome to Flickr - Photo Sharing

and you can find out - it isn't a program you download but a website that you can upload your photos to.

Default New uploading from flickr.

Flickr has changed how to imbed photos from their site. Because I'm bored and playing around with GIMP, instructions are below.

1) First, upload the photograph you want to share to your flickr account and click on that photograph from your set, photostream, or anywhere else it appears.

2) From the photograph's main page, choose the "Share this" option, which is right above your photograph as seen below:

3) Next, choose the option "Grab the HTML/BB code:"

4) Now choose the size, using the dropdown menu indicated by the arrow below. The default size is "Medium 500," which is actually a good size for sharing. "Medium 640" is the largest menu selection you can normally make and still be compliant with the rules of DigitalPhotographySchool.com. If your original picture is 700 pixels in its longest direction or less, that size will appear as the "large" option and you can use that.

5) Finally, copy the circled text above to your post or to a new thread. Be sure to preview your post to make sure you got everything right. Submit your completed post!
