Default On posting and EXIF data

I'm getting the feeling that I may be posting my images incorrectly as far as including the EXIF data. I went to my flickr account and couldn't even navigate the site. I haven't been there in a long time, but I thought I had some images there. Nothing but my avatar. Did they do a clean up and I missed it? Well, I think one of my problems may be that if I'm doing any post processing (minor: sharpen, crop, etc...), the image created is now not the original and won't carry the EXIF outside of viewing it on my computer.
Corrrect me if I'm wrong. At least that's what I think I'm learning as I go along here typing this thread, checking my flickr account, looking through photos. Mods, please check out some of my images here on the DPS when you're able so I know if I need to change what I'm doing. I have read the rules but I thought that using other image sites (photobucket, imageshack . . . ) provided the necessary info as well. Thanks, ARPhot

PS . . . check this
Photobucket

It is a resized copy of the original:
http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k6...9246copyrs.jpg
on my photobucket site. When I saved as a copy, the original data disappeared.

In short (too late?), am I posting images correctly here? Thanks, Kirk

The only thing I might change is the location of the sun in the photo. It might look more interesting if the sun was off to the side a bit. It's just a thing of mine. I don't like the main subject of the photo to be centered.

Arphot, as far as processing what do you use. I always make sure to save as nad not just save. That will sometimes cost you the EXIF data.
I'll look at your other images and see if I can figure anything out.

Cool. Thanks. I know that the link to the larger image has the EXIF. But, I resized the one that is posted and then overwrote it (I think).

In case you're new to the forums or new to Flickr and you want to see how to post pictures using Flickr, here's a visual tutorial to try to clear up the steps.

1. Upload the photo that you want to use to Flickr and go to your Flickr page.

2. Click on the photo that you want to post in the forums and click on the "All Sizes" button.

3. Select either the small or medium size picture, then look for the text box that's under your picture. You see the text in box 1? Copy that text.

4. Come back to the forum and start a new thread or go to the thread that you want to post in. Paste the text from your Flickr page into your post and then submit your post or preview it and then submit it (combined into 1 step here since I can only do 4 pictures per post).

This post has really been a great help I have been looking for this picture size thingy and could not find it. No wonder as little as it is. (I do wear glasses) But now I know what to look for and how to do it. Thanks so much. There surely ist truth to the saying "One never stops learning"
