That's lovely. I would have liked the shadows under the frame and shutters to be a bit darker, just to give the picture a little more contrast, but that might be difficult since the deep shadows in the slats are already black. I do not normally like adding frames to digital images but in this case, maybe a black frame might give the eye a hint. Dunno if that makes sense - I just think that my eyes need something to understand all of that white (lovely though it is)!

I like it.

The only problem i have is the white seems just a bit too bright and the aged wood doesn't pop like it should,

Strangely enough though, i didnt notice the individual sections of the photo until a second glance, first glance i saw an old face, Maybe its just that i need a padded room. lol

As McNicks said, a nice simple border/frame would look good, but i would choose a colour from the wood for it not dark black, you could also try adjusting the contrast slightly to show the lines of the pannelling a bit more.

ike,

McNicks and Ike,

Thanks for the comments. I'm not a fan of frames either but I can see your point. I think I will buy a nice black wooden frame to hang this picture in and hang it in my office just to remind me that I can't look out a window.

Thanks again.

beautiful photo. no changes needed - maybe, just maybe darken the blacks a tad. love the composition. Digital frames seem strange to me, but obviously it would look good printed in a black wood frame.
