I like the angles, but I would be inclined to crop it in a bit more closely. At the moment the little dew drops are kind of sitting in this expanse of green: cropping more closely might give them a bit more impact. A little more contrast - maybe a darkened background - might give the highlights a bit more oomph too.

Nice pic!

(PS: mind if I crop and post what I mean?)

As per your comment, have a look at it.

With the information you give about the shot, you mention two lenses - were they used back to back to create the macro effect?

I agree with McNicks assessment that it could be cropped closer although coming in too far will lose the strength of the strong angles and areas of space.

The most distracting element for me is the white blob about a 1/3rd of the way in from the left and up from the bottom. It is so bright that it pulls away from the area that is in focus.

Wulf

ps. Could you post smaller pictures? About 500px along the longest side and linking to a larger version is recommended. Thanks.

That is much easier to see on my screen - thanks.

Also, you have done a good job in removing the blob. On the cropping, I prefer the image to be a bit broader - perhaps you could lose a bit more at the bottom and return a bit on the left hand side?

Also, how did you get the macro effect?

Wulf
