Naveen, Welcome

Still, after about 15 minutes of thinking about this photo, I just have to ask if perhaps you added the drops by hand? It's OK, some of the best photos have some help like that. It's just that the leaves don't seem to be wet at all, and the size and spacing of drops is unusual.

The lighting overall seems very even, as if in a shaded area or indoors. But then there are 3 or 4 drops that somehow pick up bright light from a source farther away. You have good focus, OK composition (square might bring better attention); it's just a mystery how it turned out this way.

I agree with Jiminy, your colors are wonderful the lighting is wonderful but perhaps a tighter crop and cloning (alrtho I am certainly not an expert on cloning)out the bug would add a bit more to this all ready wonderful flower.

I love the colour contrast between the petals and the background. The water drops are far larger than what we're used to seeing in the majority of 'morning dew on flower petal' pictures and I find it refreshing. I think they also continue the idea of spherical pattern increasing in size from the centre of the flower towards the outer edge.

I agree with the others that the bug can be removed from the scene to reduce the number of ideas in the image. I might even suggest replacing the left hand side curled leaf with a clone of the lower right leaf to suggest symmetry. Crop from the bottom a little to even out the vertical space.

If I had the opportunity to take a shot of this flower, I would try a macro shot of the centre portion of the flower. I feel that this flower's beautiful natural swirl pattern in the centre is worth exploring.

Naveen,

Thanks for second photo. Bloom is much smaller (witness the large hanging drop) which makes the other drops seem big. Also a waxier petal can repel water better, giving more space between drops. All in the name of curiousity! Actually you could get a very interesting shot of drop under petals, if you could get a view of a contrary color in it.

jiminyClickit,praesentire,windrider86 : Thanks for all your critical evaluation, it was real good learning. Well, cloning I am not sure if PhotoStudio5 has this feature need to explore.

jiminyClickit: Need to mention about your What for Lunch posting in Before & after section. I was really amazed with the cloning & croping you did in that pic.

Am a novice to photography, long way to go, to catch up with all your line & length.

cheers
Naveen
