This was shot at the Lake Worth Florida pier at sunrise. The Pier was damaged during one of the hurricane's in 2004. Pier broken, sun still risin'...nature alwys wins. I would love to hear your thoughts.

I had to laugh when I saw the title of your photo - you must have read my "I fought Bull Creek, and Bull Creek Won" post

Howdy,
This is actually a sunrise(I was facing East and that's the Atlantic Ocean) The sun was really beautiful that morning. I have a few other shots from that day if you would like to see them...![]() All I did in processing the photo was to drop the brightness a little and up the contrast. |

nice shot! did you adjust the white balance to make the image warmer?
Cheers Dev

singsailor, Welcome
When the contrast is raised too far, you get that green ring around Sun. For some reason, the pier is not in sharp focus. Good framing, though.

My original settings were: 1/4000th shutter speed, aperture f/8.0, focal length 110, iso 1600 Perhaps more f stops would have brought the pier into greater focas(?) I'm still relatively new...any suggestions? ![]() Thanks |

To be honest, I didn't like the post editing you gave to the photo. It's exagerated, but's only my opinion.
Another thing, try not to point your camera to the sun when you can't look directly to the sun. It can ruin camera's sensor. I think this can be the case. I think the focus problem is more relationed to the place you've focus your camera than the aperture you've used.
