Just searching for new ways on photography and how to improve it

am using a sony dsc-s500 point & shoot that dont let the user change much of the settings and yes i use photoshop lightroom

I am not familiar with Lightroom but try color balancing by taking a litte of the blue cast out.

To go with your title, if photo could be taken showing more beach, tree roots, with tree not right at edge of frame, it might have a little more interest. Vertical aspect would allow this to fit in frame. Good shot, just straighten the horizon.
