I did a couple shots not quite laying down but sitting down and I didnt really think the perspective worked well in the cementary. I have a couple other shots from the trip where I got down low and shot but the ones from Arlington I trashed. I think seeing the tops of the tombstones helped tell them apart from one another. The pictures where I was down lower seemed more like one long marble wall instead of separate tombstones.

I would try the lower angle when the sun is lower. It may help distinguish the stones from each other. Also, you can try a different time of day so that the stones are lit from the other side.
