Default Structure?

I have been trying to get this shot for a few days. I played around with the various different shots. I was wondering which angle actually works for this structure?

One:

Blue Skies

Two:

Blue and Sliver

Three:

White Skies

My personal opinion is that the diagonal lines work the best as in #1. What was the look you were trying to achieve?

I agree, out of the 3 I prefer the first one as well.

I would consider cropping the bottom 'empty' part from the first one. Maybe crop it square? I had to scroll down to see the last bit of it and I don't think it added much.

First angle is most pleasing to me

I was trying to get an artistic angle on it. I wanted to build up a portfolio, but I am not that great at shooting structures. I am trying to practice so I can be better my photography. I just need some advice to see if I was going in the right direction and to also see what actually works better than a common shot.

Also I was wondering if the sky over powered the structure in the second shot and that is why it doesn't work as well?

The sky is brighter in the second shot and your eye tends to flow to the brightest part of an image. It may work better as an abstract composition if you cropped out the left half of the image (too much sky space) but leave in the center post structure and cropped above the light which is distracting.

Default Crop

I tried two different crops one I left most of the sky in the shot and in the second I cropped down the side of the shot to take out the light pole and the other portion of the sky.

Blue Cloud

Straight Blue

Holding my newborn so this will be brief. Like the first but not the crop. I did a quick crop to show what I was imagining it to be...
