I have been trying to get this shot for a few days. I played around with the various different shots. I was wondering which angle actually works for this structure?

I was trying to get an artistic angle on it. I wanted to build up a portfolio, but I am not that great at shooting structures. I am trying to practice so I can be better my photography. I just need some advice to see if I was going in the right direction and to also see what actually works better than a common shot.
Also I was wondering if the sky over powered the structure in the second shot and that is why it doesn't work as well?

I tried two different crops one I left most of the sky in the shot and in the second I cropped down the side of the shot to take out the light pole and the other portion of the sky.

Holding my newborn so this will be brief. Like the first but not the crop. I did a quick crop to show what I was imagining it to be...
