Great colors - the toning of the background matches nicely with the feather. It's a little blurry due to the long shutter speed. I probably would have chosen a larger DOF (i.e. smaller aperture) to have more of the feather in focus.

Sometimes it is better to shoot something such as this very colorful feather straight on to maximize sharpness and allow the radiating lines and colors to create design and composition. Because you shot this at a steep angle, you didn't have sufficient depth of field to cover the area you wanted to present. Good eye for seeing the beauty of a single feather!

Thanks both of u for u r reply, I was trying to capture centre colour of the feather, rest I wanted to kept it blur.......!

I would agree with choosing a larger depth of field.

Perhaps next time just shoot several shots with various DOFs, then see what you like best.
