Hi Palachandra,

I changed the composition and removed the blown out sky on the right corner. See how you like it.

Hi subrataofkris,

Thanks for your time for editing and recomposing. I do agree with you on keeping more space on her front.

I think I need to explain a bit why I took this picture even-though it’s hard to observe. The guy at the left extreme was just inspired by those village girls, to carry his suite case like that!!! so I intentionally kept those to at two extreme and that road to move viewers attention towards that guy...

I tried to use sepia tone before and here is my edit, I could not able to judge which one is better. Any specific reason why you used sepia tone?

And my apology for not to explain the occasion...

I think it is more that there has been increase in the number of threads in Critique.

The scene here seems like a good subject, but I don't think there is enough interest at this distance. A tighter shot on one or two of the people might have been more compelling. I like BW for documentary-type shots like this.

That's an interesting observation, but, the drama was a bit lost beacause the kids were too far. I used the sepia tone because I picked it up earlier from your flickr site. With a single character, sepia looks pretty good in my eyes too. The left top was definitely a distraction. If you have a path (leading lines), normally it is great to put your character where the lines lead your eyes and hence the transformation.

Elay, may I have an opinion on #2 please.

Cheers,

#2 is tighter, which is an improvement, but unfortunately since the crop was so heavy we lose a lot of resolution. I think I have a slight preference for black and white over sepia.

Palachandra -- I think I was posting my critique just as you were posting your explanation. The composition makes more sense with the narrative.
