Default Pleasure of Smoking

I found this guy enjoying the smoking.

He was sitting at his home and the sunlight is coming from open door.

Exposure: 0.625 sec
Aperture: f/3.5
Focal Length: 26.7 mm
ISO Speed: 80

I am not much happy with myself not to capture good quality of shot because of not having tripod, low light and believe me weather was too cold that my hands were shaking!!!

Palachandra,

At first I didn't see his hand, so it looked as if the cigarette/cigar was either floating or coming from his neck. Can you revisit? Better light? That is a great potential subject.

JC,

This is what flashed to my little brain:

May be i spoiled it completely!!!

After taking some shots, I approached him and had friendly conversation. He is a farmer and from different village. He came there to spend some time with nature and in prayer. He invited me to his home in his village and gave his address.

I am thinking to print any of his shot and mail to his address any suggetion? I have uploaded couple of other shots in below link:

Any suggetion would be helpful

Palachandra,

You've just completed a thought I had a moment ago: knowing more allows for better critique.

The second edit (close up) with some contrast boost would be a good example. The Picasa one of the brightly glowing tip, and of the cloud of smoke exhalation, could each become special because they add a dimension, light, action to a man smoking.

The main reason it would be good to send him copies? I believe he would like them. And it's a kindness in return for borrowing his likeness (as purplepixie reminds us).
