I just wish to see more on right, giving bit room to the couples standing just infront of light and that road.

What is that big blue spot near that light? - kind of distraction...

fishdog, Welcome

Hoosier to Hoosier, what were you shooting for here? More than half is grass and sidewalk. What can be seen of house suggests it's abandoned, and plain. If Palachandra hadn't mentioned it, the people would have gone unnoticed. There may have been some color in the sky of interest, but it's barely shown. Help us out, here. Camera? Settings? Reason taken?

The abandoned house would have made a great subject if you had focussed more on that, but as jiminyClickit already mentioned. The picture is almost half filled with pavement and grass.

Thank you for the welcome. And the abandoned building is what I was going for, just to show kinda whats around it to add to the setting that it is pretty much destroyed. For this photo I used a Rebel XT with the kit lens, shooting at a speed of 8sec, f/5, ISO800. And, no post processing was done on this photo as of yet.

Would this image be a bit better at showing the subject(abandoned building)? This is of the same building just a different angle, shot at the same settings

If the house is the subject I should get in closer. This way there is more focus on the house. I find the streetlight also a little distracting, but you'll also lose that when you get in closer.

fishdog,

For showing conditions such as "abandoned" and "destroyed," how about daytime? Nightshots are atmospheric and have a place, but they tend to hide things. If possible, get higher up, putting the building in an even more lost position. It would eliminate several issues listed above.
