Kunal,

You have captured good expression of that boy. His hands and the biting shirt buttons tells the story :-) Nice DOF, especially sharp focus on his hands.

I feel I am loosing some more information on his hands... Shadow on his eyes, I am not sure about that.

Evocative, certainly. What is the shadow on nose? It looks like a mask layer has been erased there. The eyes are a good candidate for lightening, as Palachandra noted the shadow is just hiding them.

Its amazing how there is always room for improvement. Do u think this is better? i defintly like it better. Thanks for the feedback. Anything else?

Mr. J his nose is like that. The first image posted was straight outta the camera.

Hi kunaldaswani,

How about this? This forum taught the art of making portraits soft (filter-other-maximum/ filter-blur-gaussian/ filter-blur-radial on a different layer and by reducing the opacity), I used it to reduce the harshness from the young boy's face. I used a mask to keep the eyes as bright as the original.

That brought back some of the face but it has also lost it's contrast. It could use a levels or curves adjustment as an additional tweak.
