A client (I fix computers) asked for some "arty" photos of her bar / cafe lastnight, as she noticed I had my camera with me (I always do) for a publication, I was very nervous and didn't have my tripod with me... hey ho... Anyone for coffee??

I love espesso, and the shot as well. It really captures the atmosphere.

If I were to make any suggestions I'd say to have a point of interest within your shallow depth of field. Perhaps if your focus was set to a shot of espresso, or the dial on the espresso machine.

Yeah, I was going to say the same thing. I love the colors (they make me think of coffee, in fact), but the picture seems to be lacking a specific subject. My eye is drawn to the dial that's in focus, but that doesn't quite seem right.

I think I was trying to make the cup and the dial the specific subjects and in the process muddied the waters hey ho.. thanks for comments, coffee will be sent in a padded bag, ok?...
