Default Feeding time

OlymousE500,35mm,f4,1/8,iso 100.
For me, this was a feat of overwhelming bravery. I'm just glad no one was around to watch me try and get this shot

windrider86,

This strikes a chord in the artist side, much more than the biology side of me. The delicate shading of the eye, the transparency of the wing, the just-sharp-enough look are beyond photography.

Is there more of photo top and right? It's a little tight there. Was it early morning?

It wasnt early mornign but it was just as sunset. There really wasnt too much to the pic on the left but a big glob of a weed that was behind it. Thank you for all your wonderful comments. I take a lot of pictures and end up tossing most of them. I think this one may just be one I keep.

Apart from the fantastic take on the bug, I love the detail of the delicate in focus petals and stamen things in the lower right.

What lens did you snap this with, and how close did you have to get?

Good catch, lovely detail. The frame may be a bit overpowering - maybe something softer.

I was actually pretty darn close, too close for comfort for me and was quite shocked the lil guy didnt decide to fly off that flower and eat me! Used a macro lens

Great shot, I'm loving the eyes. Nice work and very brave (its just a wasp, but I'll boost her ego)
Its good to see more work from a fellow E-500 user, not many of us about. Is it a Zuiko lens?
