Default Tiny Dog, Devil Inside

Here is my sister's little 10 lb. mutt. This was taken I think the first week I had my D80.
f/5.6 - 1/60 - ISO 200 - 135mm - I think the flash was on. It was a while ago. Didn't touch it with Photoshop or anything. Just wanted to show everyone that even a small dog can be a demon.
DSC_0076

She was jumping around at the sight of the camera and barking. Getting a shot of her face was hit or miss.

danboris, Welcome

Good controlled flash, with just the tiniest highlights on nose, collar and catchlight in eyes. Shadow direction suggests onboard unit. Light fur all intact, whiskers sharp. Composition is forgiveable, given the conditions of heightened activity.

Just one thing: her head keeps rotating 360 degrees. Spooky. Well done.

Yep, onboard flash. After two weeks of use, I vowed to not use the flash at all. It's more fun.

danboris,

It means more work to get a shot, and worth every minute. Your chronology will teach more: learn everything you can about non-flash photography, then apply that to learning flash if or when you need it. For drunken devil dogs, it might be a big help.
