I would have cropped it to loose a lot of the tree.

Nice action shot! Congrats! Looks like this bird is going to smack right into the tree I do agree with mischa about cropping out part of the tree, maybe 2/3rds?? This would put more emphasis on the bird coming in

Alright I could give it more of a crop, I did crop it a lot already to blow the bird up.

I just bought an SB-25 on eBay and am eagerly awaiting its arrival.

Did you have it on camera? What camera are shooting with? I am curious about the extent to which the TTL and stuff on the older speedlights will work with DSLRs.

It was shot from about 4 feet away from my car. It was ontop of my d40 and I wasnt using the TTL actualy I found I could dial it in more to how I liked it with the Manual setting on the sb-24 itself.
