ike,
Is this a crop? As Farkled suggests, more crop would help. There's nothing but more wall on the right and bottom, so that could go, and the moth is headed for the upper left, so it has a place to fly off to. It's great because you got it, I so understand that.

ike,
Usually it's a guess based on imagination if I comment on how a crop might help. Here I thought the large black shadow on the right took away from your Small Tortoiseshell. Does it still have a look you like?

Nope, i dont like the big hole in the wall either, i was thinking of maybe cloning it out in the new crop, and possibly lightening the shadow above from the stone wall, if i can achieve that i think it will be a good shot.

ike,
I'll be curious to see if the butterfly's large shadow looks odd after the other shadows are lightened. I used to do this with onionskin paper over a drawing, sketching in, erasing. Hurray for edit programs! You'll have a fine shot soon.

I can appreciate how hard it is to capture these little guys, not to mention as part of an 18 mile walk! The shadows really help make this a 'keeper' and the cropping, to your taste, will make it a 'hanger.' Nice work!
