Nice picture. I like how everything in the photo was out of focus leaving your subject focused.

I wonder if your picture won't be stronger if you removed the brown stuff from the left hand side of the picture? So you'd just have the dragonfly, grass, and what he has landed on.

Is this a macro?

Aren't dragonflies beautiful? Your Blue Dasher's color is a nice contrast against the muted greens and browns around him.

He is fairly far away in this shot, making it hard to tell... but it doesn't look like you've nailed the focus on his head / legs. What was your aperture here?

no dragonflies here so I'll jsut sy these little monsters tortured me as a kid. Due to my great uncle telling me they would breathe fire on me if they touched me or if i messed with them. I was like 3 or 4!
I never have liked these things other than pictures.
So some nice shots guys....

Todd, on yours.....the dragonfly itself seems a bit out of focus. I also think its a bad angle unless you are super zoomed in on it but realizing how hard it is to catch a good shot of these little demons I think its nice. Maybe a tighter cro would work a bit better.

I like all of the dragonfly shots. That last one looks like it might want to watch it's little head, since it's dangerously close to a mighty sharp thorn
