Default kiss

I know the shadow is bad. Anyway to correct? Any ideas appreciated

Todd,
That is a rather tough shot to work with. It's awfully tough getting detail out of shadows where the sensor does not get as much detail. I had two thoughts for the image. My first was that you could channel mix it and could make it a good black and white shot.

Annette and Nick wedding B&W

Otherwise, I think you could salvage it with the use of either curves or levels. I gave that a shot but the color suffered, you could probably do better if you invest some time into it.

I hope that you don't mind me trying to work with the shot. Additionally, you might want to consider hand coloring a b/w shot? Hope that helps.
