Default Spanish Cloud

Hi All!
Got back from Spain at the weekend, just been having a play with a few pics I took, comments on this would be great.
Modified in the Gimp and Picasa. I cant help but feel it is slightly weighted to one side but i didn't want to crop the left and lose some of the detail.

Thanks

scrivna,

I really like this! I especially am drawn to the green tones above the cloud. Great rays of light. Overall effective composition. I see what you mean about it being weighted, but it's not bad. I actually think that the eye is most drawn to the off-balance nature of the top half and bottom half. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with this, it's just really striking.

Care to share what exactly you did to modify?

Thanks for sharing this unique and beautiful shot!

Hi Teewinot,

Thanks for your comments, the image editing was pretty basic, adjusted the curves a bit then made 2 additional layers, one set to multiple (about 40%) and the other to soft light, (again, about 40%) then moved over to picasa and played with the light levels a bit and added a large area of focal B&W to reli focus and bring out the colour at the top.

Glad you liked it.
