I'm doing my trawl of posts that got overlooked because of the volume of posting in the critique forum (yes, that's meant to be a subtle hint to those who post a lot of pictures, especially those who ask for more comments than they find time to give to others ).

That said, I suspect this one got passed by because it doesn't have a clear focus. It is a tree, it has a big orange cone / seedpod and there is what looks to be some kind of bird pecking at it. That gives a choice of three subjects, all jostling for attention. To get a better photo from this scene, I think you need to pick one and then work out how to "shine the spotlight" on it.

I agree with wulf. Altho this was probably really neat to see in person, to look at it as a photo it's hard to decide what you are looking and where you should be looking.
