My First Shot at Portrait Photography

Hey everyone, I am new to this website and to photography in general really. I took a few portrait shots of one of my friends, I was wondering if you oculd offer a little advice on improving them. All of the shots were taken with a Canon and post processed in Photoshop.

You can comment on the photos as a whole or specifically, any feedback is appreciated!

All very good pictures but as far as the 2nd one goe's im not to fond of the color selection on the eyes. After looking at the others I see that the color in the first isn't her real color and that her right eye isn't the same color as the left. By making the shot entirely B&W would make it better.

The eye color is real... but incredibly variable by light, I was not able to photograph it but sometimes her eyes even turn lavender. The dullness of the eyes in the B&W does need some correction though, Thank You!

I like this one but maybe the flowers take up too much of her lower face but still I realy like the contrast between the green eyes and the purple flowers.
